Patricia Sutton lives near Cape May, New Jersey, the world renowned migratory crossroads that is famous for its hawk, owl, songbird, shorebird, and Moarch butterfly migration. Pat has keenly studied the naturalworld for over 30 years. She is a passionate advocate and wildlife gardener for butterflies, moths, birds, and other critters.
Pat has been a working naturalist since 1977, first for the Cape May Point State Park and then for 21 years with New Jersey Audubon's Cape May Bird Observatory, where she was the Naturalist and Program Director (1986-2007).
Today, Pat is a freelance writer, photographer, naturalist, educator, lecturer, tour leader, and wildlife garden consultant. Pat's own garden is a "teaching garden" featured in many her programs, workshops, and wildlife garden tours, including those that she has led for 22 years.
